Keagan Celebrates his 12th Birthday while on his Dream Trip to Disney
Keagan, diagnosed with level 3 severe autism, enjoyed a dream trip to Disney. He had a fabulous time riding rides, seeing the Disney characters close up in person, watching the fireworks and parade, and, most of all, celebrating his 12th birthday while on his dream trip!
Thank you from Keagan’s Family
“Our family would like to thank everyone at Sunshine Foundation for making Keagan’s Dream Trip happen for us….Without your support and fundraising, this dream would have never come true for Keagan. I am sure you all know that having a child, or children with a disability is hard but getting all the necessary gadgets and transportation for them is harder to purchase or save money for. He loved Disney and got to ride rides, and most of all the smiles that came out of him where he was happy and free and be himself…. [Keagan] loved the fireworks and the parade where he got to see all the characters up close and personal. He even celebrated his 12th birthday at Disney which was a plus!! His favorite rides at Animal Kingdom were Avatar Flight in Passage, and all the animals. He loved the river cruise parade through the park. He was so happy and brought out his huge personality and seeing him so happy truly made my heart melt. We again can’t thank you everyone enough for this dream for Keagan that truly came true. Thank you for what you do and making memories for children with disabilities!!! We took him to the Kennedy space center, and he loved it. He got to meet an astronaut and get a book and signature. It was a great learning experience and overall, a wonderful trip. He loved the Airbnb Home we stayed in with the pool and Jacuzzi….It was great to be outside and enjoy the warm weather and the sun. We thank you again for making Keagan’s dream come true and we again, thank all our donors for making this dream for Keagan come true. Disney World truly brings the child out in you and was a magical experience for us. This trip will be a memory that will last a lifetime for us, and we made wonderful memories together.” Keagan’s Mom, Merenda
