Symari’s New Wheels

Symari and his family received funding towards a new van from the Sunshine Foundation. Symari suffers from Norrie Syndrome, epilepsy, and blindness. He needed a van that would provide him accessibility and make it easier to get around. Thanks to donors and Sunshine Foundation, his wish has been granted.

A word from the family

“From my heart I thank you! I thank God for you and I thank the Sunshine Foundation and everyone that was a part of this to help me and my son. We also thank everyone that donated and made our lives easier. We are so grateful and blessed. You made our dreams and prayers come true. Love to all of you and thank you kindly from the bottom of my heart. Best wishes and Blessings from above” – Penny, Symari’s mom

Symari’s Conditions

According to the National Institutes of Health, Norrie disease is a rare “inherited eye disorder that leads to blindness in male infants at birth or soon after birth.” In addition to blindness, Symari has epilepsy. Epilepsy is a brain disorder that causes seizures.
