Micheal, with Mitochondrial disorder, loved meeting Goofy at Disney World
Eliza and Piglet Team-Up for Lunch!
Eliza, with Down syndrome and ADHD, enjoyed a family trip to the Florida theme parks where she was able to meet her favorite Disney characters, something she has been dreaming about for quite a while. Sharing a snuggle with Piglet at the character lunch brought sweet smiles to BOTH of their faces!
Thank you from Eliza’s Family
“Eliza had a blast… The character lunch and dinner we did were probably her favorites... Living the dream.” –Eliza’s mother, Felicia
Down Syndrome
Trisomy 21 (Down syndrome) is the most common chromosomal anomaly in humans, affecting about 5,000 babies born each year and more than 350,000 people in the United States. Babies with Down syndrome end up with three chromosomes at position 21, instead of the usual pair.
