Hannah’s Bedroom Makeover
Hannah and her twin sister Hope, both Down syndrome, love their bedroom makeover! Hannah and Hope had a hard start to life, spending five years in an orphanage after their birth parents abandoned them due to her special needs. They were adopted by an American family and have been loved and cherished by her adoptive family ever since. Hannah, who now knows what it is like to be loved and cherished, gives her whole heart to everyone she now calls family.
Family Thank You
“This weekend a group from our church came to help with Hannah and Hope’s bedroom makeover. It turned out absolutely beautiful!! We have two very happy girls. They went to bed last night with huge smiles and carefully made their beds this morning…I can’t thank you enough!! This is a gift that will keep giving for a long time. It is so adorable seeing them keep going to peek at their room. Hannah says the little reading nook is her favorite! She loves to read! Thank you again!!!” – mom, Melissa
Hannah’s Diagnosis
Hannah has been diagnosed with Down syndrome. Down syndrome occurs when an extra copy of chromosome 21 exists. The CDC defines Down syndrome as “a condition in which a person has an extra chromosome. This extra copy changes how the baby’s body and brain develop, which can cause mental and physical challenges for the baby.”
