Ariel’s Dream Come True
Ariel, age 7, with cerebral palsy, was given a trip of a lifetime! Ariel’s Dream Come True was to go to the Florida theme parks. She loved Walt Disney World and enjoyed taking pictures with all the Disney characters especially Goofy! Thanks to the Sunshine Foundation’s 17th Annual RunWalkBark4Dreams Ariel was able to achieve her dream. She and her family went to the Sunshine Foundation Dream Village in October 2019 and they also attended our 10th Annual Gala in Davenport Florida. Thanks, RunWalkBark4Dreams, for making Ariel’s Dream Come True!
Ariel’s Disney trip helped her to overcome her fears of going on rides alone and of characters. This dream improved her level of happiness and gave her a chance to just be a child… no physical therapy, doctors, needles, nurses, speech, etc. Ariel was able to just be a little girl!
