Campers host car wash and table at National Night Out
If you would like to help answer Savannah’s dream, you may donate directly to her Adopt a Dream page.
When campers at the Middletown Township Parks & Recreation started collecting pennies and hosting a car wash for Sunshine Foundation, they had no idea it would lead to a $2,500 donation to help answer Savannah’s dream!
Carol Garner and Nicole Tener, granddaughter of Sunshine Foundation founder Bill Sample, supervise Middletown Township Parks & Recreation’s program for campers. Carol shared her kindness campaign with Nicole, who organized the campers to host a penny drive. Wanting to raise more funds, the group hosted both a car wash and a table at the National Night Out. When local businesses True North Massage & Bodywork, Hetzel 4, Inc, and Century 21 Ramagli Real Estate, saw what the children were doing, they joined the cause.
This all culminated with a generous check presentation at the beautiful newly refurbished Township building. We are so grateful to Carol, Nicole, the counselors, campers, Patrick, the program coordinator, and the Board of Supervisors, especially Middletown Township Supervisor Mike Ksiazek, who also serves on the Sunshine Foundation national board of directors, for inspiring the campers to help make Savannah, diagnosed with low-function autism, have her dream of going to visit the Peppa Pig Theme Park in LEGOLAND Florida come true.
